Camping in Bouillon: campsites by the Semois and the castle
Bouillon has several campsites beside the Semois, close to the castle. We locate them, give the selection criteria and what to check before you come.
Bouillon sits in a meander of the Semois, in the province of Luxembourg, close to the French border. The castle overlooks the town. Choosing a campsite in Bouillon means weighing proximity to the centre, access to the river and the services offered. Our previous version described six entries in this area: five campsites (one of them in Poupehan) and the municipal motorhome area. So far only one is named, Au Petit Ben-Gneur, in Poupehan; the other four campsites remain anonymous (names still to be added). We publish neither prices nor ratings.
- Where? In Bouillon, beside the Semois, and in Poupehan (neighbouring village, upstream).
- Closest to the centre: to be checked campsite by campsite.
- Tents, motorhomes, dogs, pool: vary by campsite; confirm with the campsite.
- Prices, opening and booking: check with each campsite before you leave.

Choose according to your profile
Near the centre and the castle
If you want to reach the centre on foot, choose a campsite in town or nearby and ask about the distance. Prepare your visit to the castle and the town with our Bouillon page.
Quiet, in the countryside
A campsite in a valley or in Poupehan (for example Au Petit Ben-Gneur) is further from the noise of the town but lengthens journeys: check car access and the nearest shops.
By motorhome
Bouillon has a municipal motorhome area on the Quai de Semois. Check fees, services and parking rules with the municipality. Some campsites also take motorhomes: ask before you come.
With a dog
Policy varies from one campsite to another (admission, lead, supplement): ask the campsite before booking.
When to come
Opening dates vary from one campsite to another. In July and August Bouillon is very busy: contact the campsite in good time.
