Who writes on this site?
The pages of ArdennenBelgie.be are published under the collective byline of La rédaction d'ArdennenBelgie.be, as an expert content publisher for the Belgian Ardennes. This editorial team is that of a site published by a natural person working on a self-employed basis: it gathers, cross-checks, writes, proofreads and updates the content.
We deliberately present no individual profile: no photograph of a “specialist”, no career history, qualifications or years of experience that we could not document here. This caution is a choice of transparency: what underpins our credibility is a public method, cited sources and dated pages, not an invoked authority. If the team changes (new contributors, guest specialists), their name, role and the nature of their contribution will be published on this page.
The role of the editorial team
- Select topics that are useful to a visitor to the Belgian Ardennes and the Semois valley.
- Check information against identifiable sources: national park, municipalities, Service public de Wallonie, VisitWallonia, RAVeL, DNF, Natura 2000.
- Write clear texts that separate dated facts from opinions.
- Date and update pages, and correct reported errors.
- Distinguish editorial content and links to other sites. To date, ArdennenBelgie.be has no commercial partner: no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored content, no commission and no benefit in kind. (see about us).
Our working principles
- Cite the source of a verifiable fact and say when we do not know.
- Publish no customer reviews, scores or rankings presented as objective.
- Never sell a place, a wording or a ranking in editorial content.
- Respect natural environments and residents: access rules, quiet for wildlife, private property.
- Correct any confirmed error publicly and quickly.

What the editorial team does not do
- It does not speak on behalf of a tourist office, a municipality, the national park or any public body.
- It gives no legal advice, no medical advice and no personalised safety advice.
- It does not handle bookings and is not the publisher of the site Kayak Belgique, which is a separate site and to which we provide only an external pointer.
