This website is an information guide to the Belgian Ardennes. This page explains plainly which data it processes, why, and how to exercise your rights.

2. What this website does not do
ArdennenBelgie.be is an information website. It offers no user account, no booking, no sales, no online payment, no newsletter and no sign-up form. It therefore collects no identity, payment or booking data. No data is sold or passed on for advertising purposes.

This site does not use any analytics tool that sets third-party cookies. Any audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics) works without cookies. Some embedded content (Google Maps, YouTube) may set its own cookies when displayed: see those providers' policies.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a tracker blocker; the site remains usable.
5. Recipients and transfers
Data is only shared with the technical providers needed to run the service:
- The website's hosting provider and, where applicable, a delivery and protection network (Cloudflare) that relays requests;
- Google (Google Maps and YouTube on pages that embed them);
- Cloudflare (cookie-free audience measurement).
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. Such transfers rely on GDPR safeguards (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
6. Retention periods
- Technical logs and performance measurement (Core Web Vitals): 1 to 3 years, then deleted.
- Session cookie: deleted when the browser is closed.
- E-mails: as long as needed to handle your request, then limited archiving.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR (Articles 15 to 22) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (notably to processing based on legitimate interest) and, where applicable, data portability.
To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]. We reply within one month (Art. 12 GDPR). Proof of identity may be requested if there is doubt.
8. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD / GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
9. Security and minors
The site is served over HTTPS and applies HTTP security headers; access to logs is restricted to the publisher and technical providers. The site is not intended to collect data from minors; if you think a child has written to us, contact us to have the data erased.
10. Separate kayak website
Kayak trips, prices and bookings are presented on a separate website, Kayak Belgique, which has its own privacy policy. This policy does not apply to that site, which is neither the publisher of ArdennenBelgie.be nor a related entity.

This policy may change along with the site or the regulations. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
