Choosing accommodation from your own criteria

Finding somewhere to stay in the Belgian Ardennes means choosing between very different options: a hotel or inn in a village, an isolated holiday cottage or chalet, an unusual stay in the trees or under a dome, a campsite by the water or at the forest edge. This page gathers our accommodation guides so that you can compare the possibilities before contacting an establishment.

We suggest starting from your criteria rather than a list of names. How long are you staying? Are you travelling as a family, a couple, with friends, with a pet? Do you want shops and restaurants within walking distance, or would you rather be secluded? Do you need to park a motorhome, store bikes, cook on site? These questions steer the choice far more than a place's reputation.

A note on timing: in high season and on long weekends, accommodation fills early, especially in small villages. If your dates are fixed, book several weeks ahead; if they are flexible, a midweek stay or one outside school holidays gives more choice and quieter places.
